Moondust? Anyone know whats up?

Postby rootbeer » Fri Aug 10, 2012 10:19 pm

So I deiced to place a order, I was contemplating on a huge order but I just decided to order two 45's. Kinda glad I waited now all things considered.

Anyways, after 26 days I still haven't received any sort of shipping information and so far none of my emails have been returned.

I'm trying to give them credit because the label and it's founder seem rad and it's a small label, but I'm a bit alarmed at the lack of well...anything.

Has anyone had any better luck than me?

I ordered the main package of 8 singles during the pre-order kickstarter campaign, & again a few months later when the Soul Steppers & the Dave Hillyard singles came out. The kickstartef campaign had a few snags, but Jason was constantly updating us through emails & the facebook page. When I ordered the other 2 singles, I received them maybe a week later. i.e. very quick service.

yeah email me - there have been some issues on my end that have impacted shipping but I have been trying to keep people in contact.

The main thing has been my health. I was in the hospital for a bit early this year and have been in and out of doctors since that time. I also work TV production and a show was picked up so it's been 12+ hour days for a while now.

These have impacted my ability to get things to post. I am trying to make it up to everyone that has ordered.

This has been a dream to get this new label up and running and without the fans it's nothing. So I am deeply sorry for the issues. They don't excuse not getting things but I hope it helps with the understanding. I REALLY appreciate all the support.

I'm sorry to hear, I hope you're feeling better/recovered.

I'm glad to hear from you, and I'm excited for your label, it's very promising. That being said do you see a point in the future where you will be able to fill all your previous orders and get them shipped?

i'm also hoping your are doing well.
there's no way you can put man's health over a few records, and i don't want to sound like i'm doing that. but, it's beeen over 1,5 years since that kickstarter project was funded. and i still haven't recived the records i've pledged for.

I have to sadly agree with the ugly one.

I've received nothing for my pledge and more despairingly no response to the requests for updates I placed through the reggae 69 website.

Poor health is unfortunate and I hope now in the past, but an announcement of delays or some other kind of feedback isn't asking too much.

Hello Everyone,

I have been in contact with most of you and if I have not I am greatly sorry. I have been meaning to post sometime to the website. There is no excuse and I have tried to be as upfront as possible. It's not like I can hide as I have more than a few channels facebook, twitter, websites etc.

I have packages here and just have not been able to get them all mailed out. There will be extra goodies including shirts and extra records if you have not received a package.

Health has been an issue - I was in the hospital for weeks at a time over the last year and then work picked up for 12 hour plus days etc, money was tight etc.

I REALLY appreciate everyone's support and I am working to get things out to those that are still waiting patiently.

If you have NOT gotten anything please email me at jason@jamrec.com and let me know.

J

still nothing new here, just in case anyone is wondering.

it slowly getting close to two years since this project was successfully funded and I realy don't think i will ever see those records.

I'm also patiently waitin' for the shifters 10'' that was also promoted on this forum. well, in that case it's almost 8 months since the project was successfully funded and 5 months since the band started mailing records out.

it seems to me that in both those cases the person/presons behind those kickstarter projects found themselfs in over their heads at some point. without time/money/something else to ship all those packages out. so who's gonna miss out: their mate from their town or some guy halfway aroud the world living in the country they probably never heard of. well it's obvious.

with my 50% kickstarter record (funded 4 projects, recived 2 packages) i don't think i will back anymore projects. as much as i like the concept. the little money i got to spend on records these days will go to trusted mailorders.

Thought we communicated via email about the issues?

on't let me fuckups stop from believing in kick starter it's a rest platform and as long as those that put up the projexlctd keep everyone in the loop on process I think it works great.

I agree with you on this, I backed 18 fundded project, I'm still waiting for 9 so I guess 50% is the overall ratio ;o) to be honest 3 are recent but a lot have at least 1 year.
To list them the Reggae 69 fan club, the Shifters 10', Legend of Ska movie, Brooklyn Rocksteady documentary, the bohunks 1st cd, The sentiments.
The 3 last ones are from may 2012 so I guess I may have a chance on these.

So I guess I'm done with the kickstarter system also, I'm ready to accept a couple of issues but at this point, too many guys behind those project don't even take the time to send upddates.
